Your body has amazing built-in abilities to heal and renew itself. Harnessing these abilities is one way to remodel and revitalize the skin, potentially reducing common signs of the aging process. Dr. Brad Gandolfi is pleased to provide his patients with Morpheus8, an advanced, minimally invasive treatment for facial and body skin remodeling.

How Does Morpheus8 Work?

Morpheus8 is a type of microneedling procedure. It works by creating a number of micro-injuries to the skin, triggering the body’s natural ability to heal and boost collagen production.

Unlike more traditional microneedling procedures, Morpheus8 works with radiofrequency (RF) energy, administered deep in the skin tissue for further thickening and tightening. It is this energy that causes the tissue remodeling and fat reduction seen with Morpheus8.

Conditions Treated

Morpheus8 can improve the appearance of:

  • Excess facial or neck fat
  • Sagging or jowling in the face or neck
  • Rough or uneven skin texture
  • Facial or body scarring, including acne scarring
  • Deep lines and creases
  • Enlarged pores
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage

Our Process

Your journey will begin with a one-on-one appointment with Dr. Gandolfi, who will assess your skin condition and listen to your aesthetic concerns. Dr. Gandolfi will let you know whether Morpheus8 is right for you or recommend alternative treatments when appropriate.

For your Morpheus8 treatment, you will receive a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. A small handheld applicator, which houses several tiny needles, will be used to create micro-injuries to the skin and emit radiofrequency energy.

Recovery Process

Morpheus8 treatments are performed in our office, and usually take just a few minutes. After your treatment, you will be provided with instructions for recovery and aftercare. Most patients feel perfectly fine to resume their normal activities, though you may experience some mild redness or swelling. These symptoms subside on their own within a couple of days.

Morpheus8 FAQ

You may begin to see results from your Morpheus8 treatment in as little as three days. To see the full extent of your results, you may need to wait three months or more.

The results of Morpheus8 are not permanent. Their longevity can vary from patient to patient, but most people enjoy results for about a year. You can come in for follow-up treatments to extend those results.

A treatment… meaning the correction of a specific problem with the Morpheus8, generally requires 3 or more treatments.

However, many choose to use Morpheus8 treatments as a single yearly preventative maintenance tool.

FaceTite is ideal for patients who want a minimally-invasive facelift alternative, but it is slightly more invasive than Morpheus8. Morpheus8 can be the superior option if you’re hoping for a less invasive procedure to target extra fat or to eliminate jowling. Dr. Gandolfi offers both procedures and can let you know which one is better suited to your particular aesthetic goals.

For the first 24-48 hours following treatment, avoid tanning beds or prolonged sun exposure. Also, abstain from swimming or strenuous physical exercise.
